Reviews: Half-Day Tour from Dublin, Ireland: Howth Coastal Village & Cliff Walk
Guest User2026-07-29
The order details were very clear, available in both Chinese and English. The agent had also reminded us of the itinerary multiple times before the trip. In the morning, as agreed, we showed our order to the Big Bus staff at the meeting point. He helped scan the code to print our tickets and led us to the corresponding bus. We boarded around 9:30 AM, and the bus departed promptly at 9:45 AM. The double-decker tour bus had about forty passengers, with plenty of empty seats. The driver introduced the sights along the way in English while driving, with two stops for passengers to explore at their own pace. We bought fish and chips, but they weren't very good.

A pleasant excursion to the cliffs and the intimacy of the birds. Explanations are available in French in writing. After that, it all depends on the weather!

Reviews: Dublin: Howth Cruise and Dine Experience
Guest User2026-07-28
This activity is highly recommended – unfortunately, at just under an hour, it was too short. The boat trip was fantastic, taking you very close to the island – plenty of time to photograph the birds. The guide was friendly, but due to the group size, he couldn't give everyone individual attention. We booked the "Cruise & Dine" package, which worked out well – the information provided on-site was a bit sparse, but we were able to find our way around by asking around. The food at the pub was very good (and above average in price). As described, the main course and one drink were included; we paid for the starter (a very tasty seafood chowder) ourselves. The pub was right next to the train station, and getting there and back by DART or bus was easy. The town itself is very nice – lots of restaurants, but not much shopping.
