I booked a guesthouse on Ctrip in Gaozhuang Xishuangjing. The morning before my trip, at 10 AM, the receptionist called to confirm my flight number and arrival time for airport pickup. Upon arriving in Xishuangbanna, I checked my phone and saw a text message from our driver, Xiao Xiong. Outside the airport, he was waiting for us with a *** pickup sign, and then helped with our luggage. Excellent service! Driving to the guesthouse, I found it just as I had seen online – a tranquil environment and clean rooms, making me proud of my choice. The owner and staff were very welcoming, greeting us with smiles as we walked in and out. The owner kept inviting us to dinner, which we politely declined, but their hospitality made us feel right at home. On checkout day, our flight was at 6 PM, and the owner checked the bookings and suggested we check out before leaving for convenience. Another thumbs up for their considerate service! Gaozhuang is separated from the city center by a river. We were initially worried about the inconvenience of getting around, but Mr. Xiong dispelled our concerns. Every time we went to the city, he would always pick us up and drop us off enthusiastically (even on days we didn't hire a car; on the third day, he even drove us to the post office and supermarket). After listening to our needs, he gave us excellent travel suggestions. On the second day, we hired a car to go to the Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Jinuo Mountain Village, and on the third day, we went to Wangtianshu. The road conditions in Xishuangbanna are not very good, but Mr. Xiong drove steadily. Often, he would drive while we slept, and he would wait outside the scenic spots so we could enjoy ourselves to the fullest. We didn't have to worry about rushing or being too tired because of him.
