I spent 28 days traveling alone in India. Upon arriving in Bangalore, I bought a one-month SIM card from a local phone company – a mobile number and 1.2GB of data per day. Yesterday, I ran out of data and signal, which was incredibly frustrating. Thankfully, there's an eSIM – it's easy to install and use, inexpensive, and offers many plans to choose from. It's the perfect solution for controlling your travel budget or being a data hog! Unfortunately, it doesn't come with a mobile number, so many hotels, ride-hailing apps, and delivery apps can't contact you instantly or receive OTP authentication, etc., but it's just inconvenient and not essential.
