During this eSIM usage trip to Okinawa, 4G/5G signal was available half an hour before docking at Naha Port. eSIM installation was quick and easy, and network connectivity was generally smooth. Navigation, Uber, Netflix, Line, and ChatGPT all worked smoothly. Network connectivity was only improved on the balcony due to the large number of simultaneous users on the ship or the ship's metal structure.

I used this eSIM in rural areas, small towns and major cities without any issues. Before switching to it, I tried a Docomo eSIM because I had heard it offered better coverage in rural areas. However, the connection was spotty, with frequent signal loss even in Matsumoto, which I would not consider particularly remote. Once I changed to this eSIM, I no longer experienced any persistent connection problems.

It was a very interesting trip to Japan, but I probably won't be going back anytime soon. My company's project there for this year has been successfully completed. Thanks to Ctrip for recommending the SIM card, the speed is so fast!
