Reviews: 2-hour Lunch Cruise on Willamette River

My husband and I took the lunch cruise to celebrate our 28 year wedding anniversary and his upcoming birthday. It was a relaxing and lovely experience! The food was delicious and the service excellent! Ginger, our hostess/waitress was personable, knowledgeable and a delight! Every staff member we encountered were polite, friendly and efficient! The cruise was scenic and just long enough to be both enjoyable and rememerable. We really had a fabulous experience and will recommend the trip to both family and friends! Thank you!

This is a long day—10 hours end to end—but absolutely worth every minute (and the 2-hour drive each way). Just be prepared: the bus ride feels very “school bus style,” bumpier than expected, so buckle up and settle in for the adventure. Our guide, Lucas, was fantastic—so knowledgeable about Mt. Rainier and its history. He took us to six breathtaking scenic stops, including Reflection Lake and the bridge across the Nisqually River. The views of the mountain along the way were nothing short of stunning. At Paradise, you get 2.5 hours of free time to hike at your own pace. We chose the mild Nisqually Trail with paved walkways, and honestly, the views were like stepping into a painting. My 74-year-old mom enjoyed most of it easily, with the exception of one waterfall that required steep, unpaved steps—challenging even with hiking shoes. Still, she had a wonderful time and never felt left out. One special highlight? Lucas surprised us with wild huckleberries at Tipsoo Lake—and later stopped at a huckleberry ice cream shop on the way back to Seattle. A perfect sweet ending to the day! We paid around $800 for a family of four (including tips), and for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, it was absolutely worth it. If you only have one day to see Mt. Rainier, this is the tour to take—you’ll get the very best of it. Even after just returning from an Alaska cruise with jaw-dropping scenery, I’m so glad we extended our Seattle stay for two more nights to see Mt. Rainier.

Fun stories and amazing historic sites. Definitely a creepy vibe. A great blend of tragic history and in the moment jitters.

We loved the speed of the cruise so that we could take in all the sights. Our servers were exceptional and fun to talk with!

Natasha was a fun guide and we had a great time. It’s nice and creepy down there. This does not seem accessible but I’d call to confirm that to be sure they don’t have accommodations but it’s old tunnels so stairs and holes in the dirt floor. Not too much walking. It was actually a bit warm down there and it was a cool night (about 60 something). I would have loved a few more ghost or creepy stories but the history was interesting and obviously ghost stories need a bit of “this person heard or felt or saw this in this place” or they’re not as fun. Free beer sample at the end and we were able to grab a can for “free” of their beer or even cider or non alcoholic beverage. We did the 8pm which is 21+ but some of the afternoon ones are open to everyone.
