I recently took a tour of Kibera Slum in Nairobi, Kenya, and it was a truly eye-opening experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, smart, and welcoming. He runs his own organization for the children in the area, which adds a meaningful touch to the tour. Overall, it was a safe and respectful experience that allowed me to learn a lot and even contribute in some small way. I would definitely do this tour again and highly recommend anyone visiting Nairobi to take the time to experience Kibera. You won’t regret it.


