We had an excellent tour with our guide, who was one of the owners of the Clan tour company. She was friendly and very informative about Ketchikan and the native people of the area. We made several scenic stops and did see bears, although they were far away.

Probably my favorite excursion on my cruise. Saw countless eagles and saw black bear with 2 babies. It was amazingggg would recommend!!!

The pilot’s flying—and the occasional live narration—were truly excellent. Unfortunately, he didn’t speak much, so most of the commentary came from a prerecorded track that was poorly synchronized with the flight and frequently cut out for a second or two every 10 seconds or so. The added musical soundtrack felt more distracting than atmospheric; unlike other air tours we’ve taken where the music helped set the tone, this one seemed to aim for a mood I can only describe as “mild irritation.” Thankfully, the headsets included volume controls, so that nuisance was easily managed. Despite these quirks, I still recommend the tour overall.
