I think this is a very worthwhile part of Kota Kinabalu; the fireflies are beautiful, and the tour guide is excellent. Aside from the slightly bumpy ride on the main road, there are no other downsides.★

Although I made the reservation the day before, the guide arrived in the hotel lobby five minutes early to pick me up. The road to the boat dock was not particularly smooth, so it was quite bumpy, but we arrived earlier than scheduled. The wait time before boarding was short, and the tour was smooth throughout, allowing me to participate with peace of mind. The first tour was an animal observation cruise, and there were many highlights, including monkeys and buffalo. It was great that we were given more time to observe them than the other nearby boats. The weather was unfortunate for sunset, but we were able to take plenty of time to take photos on the beautiful beach. On my second trip, I was able to see many more beautiful fireflies than I expected, which was a great experience. The food was also delicious. Of the various tours available, I was glad I chose this one, which was mid-priced. I highly recommend it.★

I had an amazing time at the Mari Mari Cultural Village. The whole place is beautifully made and really brings the history of Sabah's tribes to life. Our guide Farish was fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable, and made the stories so engaging. The staff in the whole village were very welcoming and kind, which made the experience even better.★

Ordered the trip via trip.com and the driver arrived at a different hotel. No one called, no one answered our calls. Fortunately, the trip.com assisted with solving the issue pretty well and we went on this trip on a different day. The guide, Ken, was a lot of fun. The trip itself was interesting despite the long distances. We bought yogurt and cheese on the farm, tasted good. The lunch was good.★

Very enjoyable experience despite the bad weather and traffic conditions experienced en-route to Bongowan. We did see a few monkeys, though it was difficult in the rain. However the rain stopped, and we went out again to see the fireflies. The chocolate factory tour was excellent. So were our guides, Simon and John★

The pickup was safe and comfortable, and the schedule seemed to have gone according to plan. However, it was a shame that the weather suddenly got bad and we didn't get to see many fireflies. However, overall, I'm leaving with good memories.
