The boat was exactly as described. It was a great and very large boat. It was a little unfortunate that it rained all day and we didn't get to see the sunrise, but we enjoyed the foggy atmosphere instead, which was relaxing in its own way. Although there were minor coordination issues before boarding, overall I was still impressed. Don't worry if you arrive at the pier and there's nothing there or no staff; if you see the sign as mentioned, you're in the right place. Just tell the ticket counter staff that you have a reservation and your scheduled time. And don't worry about whether the boat will run if there aren't many people, because I was the only one there that day, and the boat still operated as normal. I highly recommend it; it's fantastic!

I took this tour solo, and it was full of pleasant surprises! It was an English-speaking tour, but the local guide who guided me spoke excellent Japanese! He'd spent three months in Japan, so he spoke to me in Japanese, which was very reassuring for someone like me who isn't fluent in English! I thought the tour would end with the cave and waterfall, but he took me to two local villages and had lunch at an elephant camp, where I got to interact with elephants, which was fantastic! Crossing the Mekong River by boat was also a truly valuable experience! We weren't supposed to see the sunset, but the weather wasn't great, so I didn't even notice! I didn't have to force myself to talk to the other people on the tour, so I had plenty of time to enjoy the tour by myself, which I thought was great! Even though I don't speak English, the people around me were very kind and helpful, so I think even Japanese people who aren't comfortable communicating in English will enjoy this tour! I highly recommend it!

Demi Cafe & Hostel – Vientiane 🏡 Stay Dates: December 31st – January 4th Room: 8-Bed Mixed Dormitory This small hostel is fully decorated in a Christmas theme, creating a warm and lovely atmosphere. The staff are friendly, polite, and welcoming. We were able to check in early as the previous guests had already checked out. The room was clean with comfortable bunk beds, pillows, blankets, towels, a hairdryer, and a private locker with a key. The shared bathrooms were clean, with two shower rooms, two toilets, two sinks, soap, shampoo, and plenty of toilet paper. The location is excellent, near the Patuxai Arch. There are plenty of food options nearby, and a cafe is located downstairs. Breakfast is delicious every day. The mixed-gender dorm has a comfortable atmosphere, and guests are considerate of each other; there's no noise or disturbance. This is a complete, worthwhile, and highly-rated accommodation that I would definitely return to. 🫰🫶
