I booked these tickets for my parents. I had visited the Jinsha Site before, but unfortunately, there were no discounted tickets available through Ctrip back then. Since the Jinsha Site only offers free or discounted admission for senior citizens with Chengdu and Sichuan Province senior citizen cards, and no discounts for those from other areas, it was convenient to buy tickets on Ctrip. The site itself is beautiful and could easily be considered a park. The site museum has walkways that lead down to the archaeological area, allowing for close and careful observation of the ruins without negatively impacting the site. The museum is very high-quality; both the exhibits and explanations are comparable to the Capital Museum. The gold ornament depicting the Sun Bird is particularly impressive; the exquisite craftsmanship of that period is truly remarkable, making it worthy of being chosen as a symbol of Chinese cultural heritage. Furthermore, the Jinsha Site has successfully developed a cultural industry around the site, with a well-organized website, activities, and academic programs. I visited the Jinsha Site on April 14, 2010. The day before, I was in Wenchuan. On my way back to Chengdu from Wenchuan, the Yushu earthquake struck (Wenchuan is a necessary stop on the way from Chengdu to Yushu)... My parents visited the Jinsha Site on April 20 this year. On the 19th, I arranged for them to visit the Jianchuan Museum in Anren, Dayi County. On their way back to Chengdu from Anren, the Ya'an earthquake struck (the Chengdu-Ya'an Expressway is the route from Chengdu to Anren)... I should probably go to Japan sometime. However, Ctrip called them on the day of the earthquake to inquire about their situation and called them several more times afterward to remind them to be careful. Their service was very thorough.
