I took this tour with my girlfriend, our first together, to do something to remember: it was the best choice I could have made. The guide, Giulia, was excellent and helped us especially during the difficult moments we encountered, which we overcame together. SO SO COOL! Once in a lifetime experience. Giuseppe was a great guide, with lots of information about the mountain, village and local area. Be warned, make sure you have good hiking shoes and can keep a good pace! As there are 25 of you, and little opportunities for breaks, you do have to keep up. IT WAS SO WORTH IT!

We arrived in time for sunset. The scenery was magnificent, and we were able to witness some beautiful lava explosions! Be sure to wear good shoes (the climb is steep in places!) and bring a windproof jacket for the viewing area. Thanks to Orlando for his kindness and explanations.


