Joaquin was our tour guide and we absolutely loved him! He was so insightful and really helped us understand the history of the monuments we were visiting as well as Portugal as a whole. He made so many amazing recommendations for us and not a single one let us down. None of us had liked octopus before, but Joaquin recommended it and really encouraged us to try it and we ended up ordering two rounds because it was some of the best seafood we’ve ever had. He had such a good energy and was so engaging. We are also so glad we booked this tour because trying to navigate this whole experience ourselves was way too much work and we would have never seen everything we did or tried all the amazing food and drinks we did. Thank you Joaquin- Portugal would not have been the same without you★

The trip itself is excellent on its own, BUT our driver/tour guide Diogo made it an amazing experience. He was incredibly knowledgeable of Portuguese history and entertaining. The people travelling with us were wonderful too. We would definitely go on another tour with this company.★

The tour was unique and very informative and interesting. I appreciated the balance of seeing one of Sintra’s palaces in detail alongside the incredible natural beauty in this area. Our guide David was friendly and warm and answered all of our questions. As a solo traveler, this was a fun way to meet a few other people traveling on their own.★

Did you ever have one of "those" days? No, not that kind of day, but a Ferris Bueller type super awesome experience?
We were picked up by the first of our guides in Lisbon, but not in a jeep... Hmmm, ok, let's see. It was explained to us that three small tours were being transported to Setubal before breaking up. Ok, I understand. After the wrong hotel pick up for the third couple of our group, and a crazy ride through Lisbon, we were on the way to Setubal. Our second guide, bundled us into the jeep, and off we went. We first stopped at an old river defense base from WWII (Yes, I know Portugal was neutral) with stunning views. From there an off-road adventure to a Church in a cave on the water, and through a cork farm and other agricultural areas. We stopped in Sesimbra for a beach side lunch and drinks (recommended by the guide instead of the tourist trap restaurant) We enjoyed the best Cuttlefish meal I've ever had, with a friendly group acquainted with our guide. After leaving, we enjoyed a bonus vineyard visit with the other groups including the third guide before visiting a Gothic monastery (bonus!).
Instead of sitting in traffic back to Lisbon, the first guide stopped and bought cheese, wine, and chorizo as we watched the sunsetting over Lisboa★

Hosted by Javi, a very happy experience indeed for the three of us. Including the stops on the coast was a very big plus. Good lunch spot and food.
