If you don’t have a lot of time to spend a few days in safari, a day in Chobe is well worth it. Combining a safari ride with watching a whole gang of elephants taking a water break to a boat ride in Zambezi river seeing crocodile swimming towards our boat make my day. We got to see lots of animals. We traveled in March (maybe low season) we end up having our own private game drive and took lot of pics. Thanks to Owen and his crew for making seamless arrangements.★

Excellent tour giving the real connection with the places included! This is a tour I recommend, instead than doing some bungy, zipline etc. The pick up from hotel Shearwater village was on time and the border crossing was quick with guide all the time next to me. We started at the Mukuni village which was an amazing experience. A lady from the village guided me, telling how life is there and showed the hardships and situation for them. The museum visit is a guided one, with a museum employee telliing you about the artifacts and history. No photos are allowed however. Good and interesting, also takes about an hour. The market and Livingstone town part of this tour was at the end, had a few good video clips and photos from it. I should mention that I made reservations on the evening before, short notice that is, but everything was excellent and was much better than I expected!! My visit at the Victoria Falls was enriched by this tour!★

We were picked up from Maramba River Lodge, Livingstone on time with an hour car journey to the border crossing. Once immigration was done and a coffee break, we were taken to Chobe National Park for the first activity. Two hours of safari drive went quickly with sightings of lions, giraffes, kudos, elephants and lots of hippos & bird life by the River.
We had the delicious buffet lunch in Cresta Mowana Resort, followed by the boat trip on River Chobe. The most memorable part was the baby and mother elephants swam across the fast flowing river and the herd landed successfully on the green pasture. It was such an exciting experience with lots of Instagram worthy photos!
The return journey was slightly complicated with a short ride in a bus and safari vehicle, transferred to the immigration point and then back to hotel by six o'clock.
We enjoyed our day to Chobe National Park and will return to Botswana for longer trip in future.
