This day trekking was so much fun! The guides are very professional and take you to the heart of the jungle were you can view the orangutans up close. A great lunch and fruit platter is provided when taking a break and the rafting back into the village finishes the day off nicely! A trip well worth doing!★

We had an absolutely amazing experience hiking up Mount Sibayak for sunrise. The views were incredible and the volcanic vents were really cool to see (but very smelly with sulphur!). Our guide Jamil was super knowledgable, sharing facts about the local area and tailoring the trekking route to suit us (you can choose from three peaks of varying difficulty). He also made us a coffee to enjoy as we watched the sun come up.
We then visited a local family-run hot springs, followed by the fruit market and a delicious brunch in a coffee shop in Berastagi. Jamil knew I loved plants so showed me lots of interesting local flowers and trees around Sibayak and plants sold at the market in Berastagi. We didn’t have time to visit Supiso Piso waterfall as we had to rush back to Medan for a flight, but it’s usually part of the itinerary.
Our driver Rizki was brilliant too and dropped us off at the airport. We’d really recommend booking directly with the team at Berastagi Adventure via their website - Hendra was really helpful and communicative via WhatsApp.★

We had the most incredible day, the itinerary is great but the stand out for us was our driver and guide Erwan. His knowledge was vast and he always had something to tell you on the long car journeys, inbetween all of the terrible jokes that had us laughing all day. He truly made it an amazing day filled with stories, history and fun.
The tour itself is very good with lots to see and do although the drive is long there is lots to see on the way which Erwan took great pleasure in explaining.

The trip with our both tour guides Haikal and Rizky was so amazing. We saw 5 Orang Utans in 6 hours, which is pretty incredible. We had much fun and they even helped us to organize a taxi from Medan. Overall the experience was amazing and also quite cheap compared to other companies. Can only recommend this spot and the nice people!!!★

Seeing the traditional homes where the Batak people continue to live was amazing! I loved looking at where they sleep and cook their meals. My guide and driver was wonderful and very concerned with what I was interested in seeing along the way.
