I had the most perfect day! Endo San, our tour guide, is a retired professor which makes him the most incredible and knowledgeable tour guide. As one of the only remaining original castles from the Edo period, the Matsumoto Castle is a must visit for anyone that admires history. Visiting a traditional town and home in Narai-juku was a dream. I would recommend not missing the headless Virgen Mary, now a Shinto shrine, but also done so Christians that had to keep their religion hidden could visit during the 1700's. I hope you are lucky enough to have Endo San take you out for one of the most insightful visits I have had while in Japan!!!★

The exchange counter for the JR pass closed after 8pm at Haneda Airport Terminal 3. In the end, I managed to exchange at the Welcome Centre, near the Arrival Gate of Terminal 2, which is open untill 10pm.★
