An essential pass for exploring Tohoku freely. With the rising price of the national Junior Pass, it's the best solution.

Slightly harder to redeem than. Expected especially if you are helping friends to purchase but afterwards can easily show this pass. Although it might be confusing at the beginning which grain to take with this pass

Ticketing was quick. From Narita Terminal 2, there's a dedicated ticket exchange counter at the railway entrance. The staff were very patient and clearly explained the validity period and coverage area. Three days is enough for several long-distance trips. To go to Mt. Fuji and Kawaguchiko, you can use the self-service machines outside Shinjuku Station to transfer to the Fuji Kaiyu Railway directly to Kawaguchiko Station. You can also go to Izu, but only with regular JR trains. Overall, it's good and quite convenient.
