Reviews: Nîmes: Guided Tour of the French Rome

Damien gave us a lively and fun tour of Nîmes. He guided us to other, lesser-known but nonetheless very interesting places. We had a great time. Thank you!

Reviews: Nîmes Food Tour
Guest User2026-10-22
The food tour was a highlight of our time in Nîmes! We stopped at delicious artisan places we likely wouldn’t have encountered otherwise. In addition, this tour included beautiful street art and historic landmarks along the way. Our guide was warm, hospitable, passionate about local food, and relaxed. The group moved at a relaxed pace! Highly recommend!

For us (ages 88-73), the Gauls were colonized by the Romans around 2000 years ago and defeated at Alesia. What this exhibition taught us is that this colonization wasn't as dramatic as it seemed, since the Romans managed to elevate the most gifted Gauls to positions of power within society!

Reviews: From Avignon: Pont du Gard, Uzès & Nîmes: Half-Day Tour
Guest User2026-10-16
Nico was a fantastic guide — we scheduled a small group tour and ended up having him all to ourselves. He was very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, was easy to understand, and fun to chat with. Would recommend this tour to anyone. Our morning tour in mid October was in the off season, so we had a lot of places to ourselves and the sites were well paced. He also gave us good ideas for the rest of our stay in the Avignon area. Merci, Nico!
