Before traveling to Japan, I heard that buying a tourist pass would facilitate transportation and save money. I bought two sets of four-day passes on a platform. On October 6th, I arrived at Osaka Kansai Airport and exchanged them for paper passes valid from October 9th to 12th. I also bought two ICOCA cards, each worth 10,000 yen. On the 9th, I took the JR Osaka Loop Line from Shin-Kangu to Kyoto Station. The staff at the station said the two JR passes were valid all the way to Uzuma Station on the Sagano Line, a one-way trip. The Arashiyama Sagano scenic area is quite remote, and the area is only accessible by bus, so the passes couldn't be used. I spent most of my time staying in the Arashiyama area, and I don't know how to use the remaining passes, nor where to use them. We returned to Japan on October 16th. I'm wondering if I can get a refund for the two unused sets of passes.Trip.com Picks
