The day trip was a great experience; the itinerary was well-planned and the pace was relaxed and not rushed. We met at the agreed-upon location, and the entire journey was quiet and peaceful. Most importantly, no one kept asking for a review after the trip, which was excellent. It would have been even better if the driver had provided some commentary along the way.★

I felt this was a truly heartwarming trip to Kyoto! From the magnificent golden splendor of Kinkaku-ji to the thousand torii gates of Fushimi Inari Shrine, every stop was breathtaking and thought-provoking. My husband said he wanted to go to Kyoto when we were traveling to Osaka, so we looked around and booked this day tour, which I liked the most. Luckily, the bus got off right in front of our accommodation, which was great, and we had a blast meeting our friendly guide, Jang Jun-mo. Seeing deer in Nara was also a memorable experience, and the weather was so nice that we were so happy. Our guide worked really hard to explain things in both Chinese and Korean because it was a global bus. 👍 We also had just the right amount of free time, which was great. I absolutely loved the day tour, and I highly recommend it.★

🌳 3 Must-Do Things at Amanohashidate
1️⃣ Climb to the top of "Umbrella Pine Park" for a bird's-eye view of the sandbar
→ Take the cable car to the top (round trip ¥720), and take a "reverse Fuji" composition from the viewpoint overlooking the sea.
→ Hidden spot: The west side of the observation deck at the top of the mountain offers a stunning view of the sandbar and the Aso Sea side-by-side!
2️⃣ Walk barefoot on the "Natural White Sand Beach"
→ Take off your shoes and walk on 2km of pure white sand. The seawater washing over your ankles at high tide is incredibly soothing.
→ Rent a bicycle (¥500/hour) and chase seagulls along the sandbar, feeling the shape of the wind.
3️⃣ Visit "Chieunji Temple" for amulets
→ Vermilion torii gates paired with century-old pine trees; seek amulets for academic success/marriage (from ¥800).
→ Touch the "Manjushri Wisdom Wheel" and spin it three times; legend says it will make you smarter!★

I decided to join this trip on a whim, and it turned out to be the best travel experience I've had recently! All three attractions are hidden in the mountains or suburbs, and it would have been really difficult to get around by public transportation. Luckily, we had a thoughtful driver and a warm and welcoming guide who took care of us throughout the trip, and I felt incredibly welcome from the moment I boarded the bus.
