This tour was wonderful. We were met at our hotel by 2 vans and drivers. Our driver was running behind schedule so we took a ride with these two to the next pickup where we met our driver/guide Loris. We had a great time chatting with Loris in the van all day. We really loved seeing the full process of how Parmigano-Reggiano is made from milk, to curd, to raw cheese balls, shaping into wheels and dry aging. The Lambrusca and Cheese at the end were delicious too. Then we headed to the Prociutto factory. There were no pigs, but lots of aging meat. The smells were intense. Lunch was a plate of procuitto per person, wine, balsamic glaze and bread. After this stop almost the entire tour group returned to Parma. We headed to Modena for our balsamic tasting with just Loris and another family. This private tour was phenomenal and the flavor explosion was to die for. We highly recommend Loris and this tour. We will definitely recommend to our friends and family. โ

I had an amazing time with Sergio! What a kind and intelligent person, he made this tour excellent, with all of his knowledge and wit. I learned a lot, and it was quite fun to see how they produced both the cheese and ham live, and see the ยซwholeยป process how it is made. The tastings were great, accommodated with great local wine. I even got to see the cows which produces the milk for the cheese production everyday! ๐ฎ๐I can trully recommend this tour, and all best wishes to my guide Sergio! ๐๐ผ PS. I did 8:30 tour, if you want to see the cheese production from start, this is the tour you shall choose!โ

we were shown around by one of the factory employees, she was excellent and informative. i could not fault her. what was a bit strange was that our booked guide did not show up, as we arrived we waited and then the very nice employee with good english came out and said i will show you around today as camilla cannot make it. we had no prior notification. itโs a small factory and allows you to get a full understanding and hands on.โ

We were looking for a private tour that would help us learn more about the local food and culture of Emilia-Romagna and take us to small producers that are not on the usual tourist route and this tour delivered 100%. Our guide Roberta was delightful and incredibly knowledgeable. She was Interested in knowing a little about us and our interests and experiences of Italian food and culture so she could tailor her commentary accordingly, and she wove interesting stories about food production and local history throughout the day. We learned so much that we will never look at a piece of parmaggiano reggiano or prosciutto di Parma in the same way ever again. Our driver Alessandro expertly navigated both city and country roads and looked after us very well. This will be an all-time highlight of our many visits to Italy, and we have already recommended it to friends coming to Italy next year. Grazie mille Roberta e Alessandro! โ

Convenient transportation to the location was included. Mr. Sergio, who served as both driver and guide, was a delightful person. He explained the various stages of prosciutto production with passion and kindness. Very interesting. The tasting afterward was excellent.โ

Great option if you only want to visit a cheese producer. We got to see the entire process from start to finish at a smaller producer that does the entire process in-house. From milk from their own cows to the final cheese. Our guide Lori's was friendly and informative and explained every part of the process. He even suggested a shop in Parma to get 100 month old Parmigiano Reggiano. ๎ฅ
