Awesome ancient ruins from the 16th century. We saw so many Wat's where the kings and Buddhist were they are buried. It's amazing how these buildings (Prangs) have remained, especially when you think about how they were made and held together using Buffalo hides, sea shells, and coconut sugar. A must see while your on Thailand
Reviews: From Bangkok: Ayutthaya Temples Guided Tour with Lunch

Chai speaks excellent German and showed us the beautiful temples in Ayutthaya. Lunch was good, and the transportation was relaxed and punctual. However, I wouldn't book the German-language tour next time. It's not Chai's fault at all, but rather the German clientele. International groups are more open, and it's easier to strike up conversations. Older Germans, in particular, tend to be reserved and don't seem like they want to talk to strangers. But this didn't detract from the tour, so I highly recommend it! Ayutthaya was also quite empty, which surprised me.

The tour is a must-do. But Mindy, our guide, was what made the service truly excellent. She was friendly and explained so much about Ayutthaya, its history, and Buddhism. The transportation was very good, although the B8S wasn't brand new. I recommend this tour if you want to see four temples in Ayutthaya; that's enough for you. Lunch was a buffet and quite good.

There were an enormous number of people on this tour. Plus we had to search a bit before we found the right counter to register. On the positive side, everyone was assigned a table on the boat. The buffet was extensive and there was plenty to eat, but it was extremely busy and you had to queue. There was very good musical entertainment, but unfortunately we were sitting right in front of the speakers and could hardly talk because it was so loud. The food was delicious and water was constantly being refilled. You could walk around the boat at any time and enjoy the truly beautiful view of the riverbanks! A solid start to our Bangkok vacation.
