Booking was quick and easy, one-way, and payment was made by credit card, which was also convenient. The ferry was large, the restrooms were clean, and there were no delays. They were supposed to provide free water, but it was only available for a fee.

The night before, it rained in front of my accommodation, and the road was blocked. I was worried about whether the car would arrive the next morning or if the ferry would even depart, so I contacted Trip.com customer service three or four times. I received a reply from the local company saying they would contact me via email around 9 p.m. However, I never received an email. I was a little disappointed. However, the next day, the pickup vehicle arrived at the hotel lobby at the appointed time, and later, I checked my phone and saw that a Trip.com representative had confirmed with the company that my pickup had been successful. I was amazed that they even took care of the follow-up. I highly recommend Trip.com.

We traveled from Khao San Road Bangkok to Koh Tao. Everything was on schedule. We left before 9 PM, with a 20-minute stop at 2 PM. We arrived at the pier at 5 AM. The catamaran departs at 7 AM. Be prepared to wait a couple of hours. The pier doesn't have the most comfortable waiting area, but you can find a seat. There's a cafeteria and a coffee shop.
