Reviews: ZANZIBAR: Jozani Forest,Salaam Cave, The Rock & Blue Lagoon

We really liked Mussa and Raffi as our guides, Mussa explained everything really well, we learned about Zanzibar, Swahili and the places we went to. Starfish was amazing, there were so many and we got to handle them with the help of our boat captain, it is hard getting to the bottom. of the ocean to get them so consider a good snorkeling mask and flippers. We stopped by the Rock restaurant. Then we went to see corals and fish and snorkeling, there were so many fish swimming around us and plenty of time to explore the corals. We had fruit waiting for us at the boat, fresh fruit from Zanzibar that was very good. After we went to the Salaam Cave, we really liked it, got to swim with the turtles and feed them, consider water shoes to help navigate the rocky bottom of the cave. Then we went to Jozani Forest and got to learn about many plant and trees species and also got to see the famous red monkies thanks to the knowledge of Mussa of where they were! We highly recommend this experience.

We had the most amazing time with Khaled and Abdullah. It was a jam packed day with 5 different activities and they were very flexible. The activities were spectacular, especially snorkeling and the Rock Restaurant which were very picturesque. Abdul is amazing, so friendly and knowledgeable. It's a MUST if you don't have a lot of time in Zanzibar!!

My husband and I really enjoyed this excursion! Our driver was amazing. The tour of Jozani Forest was incredible and our guide was really knowledgeable. You can tell the staff really enjoys their jobs. We don’t spend much time at Kuza Cave, but learning the history behind the cave was very interesting. The steps in the cave were really steep, almost scary. But once in the water it’s so refreshing. My husband was even able to play with the drummers at Kuza Cave. We only stayed at Paje Beach for about ten minutes, but would have loved to see move of it. There were a few interesting restaurants and many vendors selling locally made items. The water was nice and blue too, such a lovely sight. Our last stop was at the Rock Restaurant. There was the option to make reservations days before the excursion to eat at the restaurant or simply enjoy drinks and take in the amazing views. We opted to make a reservation and had two amazing dishes. The price for so much food was ridiculously inexpensive! I highly recommend this excursion, you will not be disappointed.
