We had a wonderful day exploring Quito. Ishmael was a super flexible guide who was knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. He adjusted the itinerary so that we had clearer weather and visibility at the top of the cable car. The view was simply spectacular. We had a great visit to a local market in town. We enjoyed a walk about at the Basilica and around Old Town. The lunch spot was fantastic and featured amazing local dishes. We closed the day with a visit to the equator. I highly recommend this tour.★

This tour was awesome. I had a limited stay in Ecuador and wanted to make sure I captured a great experience and this was awesome! From an organised pickup, preparing for the altitude and then even having the clouds clear so we could have amazing photos of Cotopaxi (kidding of course, the weather is unpredictable here but we were very lucky for a fabulous clear view on this day). The hike itself is not long but the altitude definitely tests you. It is all worth it for the stunning view of Cotopaxi! A hike that you can do without a load of hiking gear, definitely wear a lot of layers, the wind is cold. Cover your head and ears as well.
The tour guide Irene was amazing, she had so much information to share during the whole tour. Was helpful with some further questions about Ecuador itself aswell which was great. And of course Andres was a very skilled driver.
Definitely recommend this tour, I may even have to plan to do the summit one day.★

Papallacta was a wonderful experience! We really enjoyed our day trip from Quito to the mountains. We opted for the spa area which costs an additional $25 per person, but it was worth it. The hot springs were relaxing in a beautiful jungle setting. We ate lunch at the on-site restaurant, and the food was exceptional. We also splurged on massages to round out our day, and the massage therapists did an amazing job. Every part of the day was perfect.
Our guide for the day was Rodney, who I highly recommend! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, nature, and Ecuador in general. He was able to answer every question we had and he seemed to genuinely enjoy his job. He made a point to stop the car multiple times during the journey to let us capture photos of beautiful scenery, including Antisana volcano. He was one of the best guides we had during our 11 days in Ecuador!★

Reviews: Cotopaxi volcano horseback ride and hike Private tour

My guide, Christian, made the trip very enjoyable. The drive to Cotopaxi Volcano was long and unusual traffic due to an accident made it even longer. Christian kept me entertained with facts and stories about the area. When we arrived at the horses, Christian introduced me to the wrangler, Carlos, who knew little English and I knew even less Spanish. But Christian made sure we had the basics down. My horse was well mannered, compact with a smooth gait. We saw beautiful sights. The weather was cool and a light mist fell. I was provided with a helmet and poncho. After the ride Christian took me to what I would describe as a bird sanctuary. He was able to point out the different birds. After we headed back to Quito. It was a full and enjoyable day.
