Worth every penny! Beautiful, fun, funny and informative! The boat was great, staff excellent, captain was full of stories..both historical and comical. We even got to see a bear swim across the channel in Emerald Bay, which was totally amazing šŸ¤© Highly recommend this cruise!

The tour took the party from South Lake Tahoe along the Carson Valley, briefly through Carson City and through desert territory to the old mining town, all of which was a really interesting ride. The highlight of the trip for me was the round tr on the railroad train to Gold Hill and back - a thrilling experience. We were then driven to nearby Virginia City and had three hours of free time there which was about right. It would have been useful to know the timings of the gun show and the tour of the vaults, both of which I missed. However, I did get to visit The Way It Was Museum and the Fourth Ward School, now a museum. Both were very interesting. However, the Mark Twain Museum is now closed permantly. This is still advertised as open on Get Your Guide. The driver-guide was very knowledgeable and kept everybody both informed and entertained.
