The favela tour was so much more than I expected it to be. This was a remarkable experience. Our guide was truly an outstanding person who gave us a very respectful and intelligent insight into the community and life in the favela. It was an emotional trip and one I’ll never forget. Such inspiring people living in trying circumstances showed me the human spirit and love of family and neighbour is alive in these wonderful communities. Taking care of the children and keeping families intact and safe is key. A profound experience I would recommend to everyone.

Carlos is an incredibly wonderful and authentic guide, and you can feel his passion throughout the entire tour. What he told us about the history and about Brazil was extremely fascinating and moving. We wholeheartedly recommend this tour to everyone! Here you see what life in Rio is really like behind the facade. And it was simply impressive and beautiful to see how close-knit and peaceful the people are in the Rocinha favela. P.S.: We never felt unsafe at any point!

Thomas was an amazing hike tour guide! From the very start, he made the entire experience unforgettable. He not only led us through the beautiful trails of Rio de Janeiro, but also shared the rich history behind the city, adding a whole new layer of appreciation for the landscape.
