Reviews: Cinque Terre Day Trip from Florence with Optional Hiking or Pisa

This experience was absolutely wonderful, and I highly recommend it. Irene and Joann were fantastic hosts for our Cinque Terre tour—friendly, knowledgeable, approachable, and a lot of fun. The tour starts early, with a 7 AM meetup at the Florence Santa Maria Novella Train Station, and we returned around 9 PM, so it’s worth planning ahead: bring a change of clothes, swimming attire if you plan to swim, a towel, snacks, and water. Depending on your preferences and the weather, the day can include: a bus ride to Cinque Terre (about two hours each way), walking, optional hiking, optional swimming, train rides between the towns, and possibly a boat ride back (weather permitting). Each town has restaurants, shops, and plenty of places to buy anything you might have forgotten, souvenirs, ,etc. Sunscreen and hats are also highly recommended. If you choose to do the hike, be aware it’s somewhat strenuous, with lots of steps up and down—about 2 to 2.5 miles in total, taken at a slower pace due to the terrain. Wear comfortable shoes and appropriate gear. Overall, we had an amazing time and would absolutely do it again.
