We did a twilight tour and got to see many sloths and some rare birds. And some not rare birds. At night we saw several frogs. Our guide was nice and knowledgeable. We didn't need to book in advance we just showed up 10 min before the tour time.

Highly recommended! The 11am group tour was informative and highly entertaining. Probably the most entertaining tour I’ve ever had! We also did a private tour at 8:30am just with Luis, which I highly recommend. We visited a plantation and he walked us through all the interesting details of how coffee is farmed and the history of it. Luis was amazing and you should definitely do this tour!

Our large group was greeted by many iguanas in the trees near the dining area. While on the boat tour we saw crocodiles, monkeys, fish, bats and many different kinds of birds. The boat was open and the breeze was so nice. You might want to bring a hat to avoid the sun.

This is a great choice for a Tour, a must-see attraction. Irazu volcan and the Cathedral are great. The views from the mountains are excellent. The tour departs early but it's because it's better to arrive in the morning to those areas. Highly recommended.


