In future products, you will be asked to send a car to the hotel to pick up guests, so that it is convenient for guests. Otherwise, from the hotel I live in to the pick-up location, I have to walk 1.7 kilometers, and it is difficult to find. We booked this trip through Santo Star (office in main town of Fira) the night before. The trip was perfect and well worth the €35 paid (ONLY €5 more to have an extra 2 hours on the trip and visit Thirassia Island too rather than just the volcano and hot springs. The crew were great and the guide (Rula) was so knowledgeable and gave us a really in depth description of the history and the creation of the islands. Take their advice and wear good footwear as there is a lot of walking if you want to make the most of the trip. We had a beautiful lunch at the first restaurant you come to if you walk up to the village on Thirassia. We took loads of drinks and snacks with us (you can leave bags on the boat at stopoffs) but there is also a bar on board. DO NOT miss out on this trip. It really is worth it 👌
