Reviews: Mārahau: Abel Tasman Marine Reserve Kayak Tour
S***42025-12-22
We had an absolutely fantastic time on this tour. Before we'd even begun the kayaking we saw a pod of about 50 dolphins playing which was amazing. The tour itself was great. Our tour guide Ed was very knowledgeable and took care to tailor the tour to the groups interests and ability. He was enthusiastic and a great teacher for 2 novice sea kayakers. He clearly knows his stuff! All in all a really wonderful day out and well worth the money.

Excellent - Frank and Angela made the sailing trip so enjoyable for us. They let us have a swim and even sail the boat. Great day out.

Absolutely loved it. Our safety instructor Henry did a wonderful job. Everyone was polite and professional. The park itself is just as beautiful as in the pictures. After the security briefing, you start your activity around 10 AM and need to be back by 4 PM. Would definitely do it again. But keep in mind that doing this on the ocean with waves is much more exhausting than going kayaking on a river or lake. Certain level of fitness is required.

Awesome, we were lucky with the weather and the group was fun, as were our two skippers.
Reviews: Abel Tasman: Sea Shuttle Cruise and Walking Tour Combo
Z***92025-12-20
The shuttle boat ride was similar to a hop-on hop-off bus tour. We traveled to the last stop, Totaranui, and then continued a short distance down the coast. The weather was initially cloudy and windy, but the sea was manageable. From Apple Tree Bay, we hiked for about two and a half hours to Anchorage Bay and then had two options for the return trip. Since we didn't take the earlier option, they contacted us directly via email to check if we were alright. The shuttle boat staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. Snacks and soft drinks were available for purchase on board. There was also a restroom.

Perfect combination, small group and a very authentic skipper. We got a lot of information and enjoyed the time on the water. The track was easy to walk and surprised with nice beaches for swimming 😃
