Enjoyable and totally unique experience.....well organised and communicated by the Forgotten World organization, and "chaperoned" by a team of 3 young tour leaders who went out of their way to make the day memorable.

I really enjoyed the Rail Cart Tour. The landscapes is beautiful, and the staff are friendly, giving clear and engaging explanations. Although groups depart at the same time, carts are well spaced, so it never feels crowded. Each group gets their own cart, making it perfect for families or friends. You drive the cart yourself, with staff guiding from front and back. It can be a bit noisy and shaky, and only licensed drivers can drive. You can’t stop midway, but photos during the ride are allowed. I wish the journey were longer. There are several stops for explanations, which are informative but slightly interrupt the flow. Also, most of the highlights—like the views, bridges, and tunnels—are experienced early on, so the later part feels less fresh. Lunch is simple(sandwiches), and restrooms are available at each stops. Laurens Lavender Farm is a nice touch, but it’s best to check the season—we didn’t catch it in full bloom. Overall, a well-organized and enjoyable experience.

We got lucky with the weather, overpacking gear in anticipation of the rain. The shuttle arrived in a timely manner and dropped us to and from our location. The trail was mobbed. It is well laid out and for two fit lads was a good workout. Toilets along the way and areas to take photos / stop for lunch. Hike of a lifetime. I would imagine the trail is extremely dangerous in more severe weather as some sections have very loose rocks / muddy slopes which were thankfully dry for us.

Punctual pickup at the agreed meeting point and good instructions for the Tongarino Alpine Crossing Track. There's also the option of being picked up back at the starting point if you have to cut the track short (for an extra charge). Everything was excellent; I highly recommend the service. Since I wasn't staying in a hotel but had rented a holiday home, I was dropped off right in front of it in the afternoon.

Excellent hike; Carlene was a fantastic guide, helpful, knowledgeable and managing the group well. Day began grey and wet but brightened up shortly into the walk and ended with blue skies and lovely weather. Made us feel that we should perhaps have gone on for the full hike (next time perhaps). 
