This excursion was more than just a simple transfer from the cruise port to Hobbiton visitor center. Alan, our driver and guide, was very personable and accommodating. He has great knowledge of the area and shared his expertise with our group throughout the drive to Hobbiton and back. We drove by a few scenic areas near the cruise ship port, saw some fine beaches, and had stops at McLaren Falls and a nearby lake as well as a scenic overlook viewing the beautiful valley where Hobbiton can be found. All in all, it was a very scenic and informative drive into the beautiful North Island of New Zealand. It was nice to leave the driving to Alan!

Reviews: Cathedral Cove & Hot Water Beach with Lunch from Auckland
Guest User2026-10-24
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful Tour Experience! We had a fantastic experience with Matheus visiting Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove! The tour was well-organized, enjoyable, and offered a wonderful opportunity to explore some of New Zealand’s most beautiful coastal attractions. Matheus was excellent—friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic! He shared interesting information about the places we visited and made sure everyone felt comfortable and enjoyed the experience. On our way back, he also gave us tips on where to eat and what else to so at the city. Both destinations were absolutely stunning, and Matheus character and attention to detail made the trip even more memorable! Highly recommended to anyone visiting New Zealand and looking for a memorable and enjoyable tour!

Reviews: Tauranga: Evening Glowworm Kayak Tour
Guest User2026-10-19
It was a wonderful evening. I would have loved to paddle through the night longer. Our guides were incredibly kind. They even waited patiently until the taxi picked us up at the end. We learned a lot about nature, heard Maori legends, and now know why fireflies glow. It was a fantastic experience to be out in this beautiful forest by kayak. Thank you!
