After the shuttle bus arrives at the parking lot, walk another 800 meters (with a slight uphill climb) to Tianchi Lake. After taking some photos, turn left to Feilongtan, then descend to the waterfall, cross the suspension bridge, climb back up again, and then return to the parking lot (a lazy time saver). It was cloudy and drizzling in the morning, but the sun broke out around 2 PM, so we hurried back to Tianchi Lake. It's absolutely stunning in the sun! It must be sunny to see it, with blue skies, white clouds, and breathtaking waters. We signed up for a small tour group of five. The driver was excellent, and everyone was punctual. We departed at 9:30 AM, entered the scenic area at 11 AM, and descended back to the city at 4:30 PM. The highway was smooth all the way, but traffic was congested entering downtown Urumqi. A wonderful trip!
