I had a fantastic time with Michael. He was engaging and passionate about Xian as well as the food. We walked through a local market to buy some produce for our cooking and then had the most fun making the noodles and toppings. I especially loved the pig skin jelly and the raw garlic and soy/salt/vinegar/sesame oil sauce! Afterwards, we got to eat everything - it tasted soooo good! Highly recommend this experience!!★

This is a stunning show, a must-see in Xi'an (surprisingly, there's little information about it online in both Russian and English). It's easy to get to the theater by metro (it's a 10-15-minute walk from the metro station) or by taxi. Inside, I recommend bringing a translator headset (the staff found me in the crowd and offered it). It's free, but you'll need to leave a deposit, which will be returned after the performance. The translator provides information before each act and greatly simplifies understanding what's happening on stage (the show itself is only in Chinese; there are no subtitles on the screens).★

That day, we first visited the Daming Palace Ruins Park, then walked to the Danfeng Gate Museum. After that, we crossed the street, passed Xi'an Railway Station, and walked for about five minutes to reach the Daming Palace Banquet Hall. Upon entering, all the staff were dressed in Tang Dynasty costumes, giving a feeling of traveling back in time. The dining environment was excellent, with both upstairs and downstairs sections. The upstairs section had the advantage of being cheaper and offering a good angle for taking photos. The portions of each dish were small, and I thought I wouldn't be full, but I ended up being quite full. The entertainment was continuous, keeping the atmosphere lively. It was a very good dining experience, and I took many photos.
