Reviews: Half-day tour to Balik Pulau durian farm in Penang [Driver and guide service included]
Guest User2026-07-19
A half-day immersive durian-eating and durian-tree-viewing experience was fantastic! Our driver, Krystal, recommended we start with the milder D15 as an "appetizer," followed by the rich, full-bodied, and sweet Black Thorn. After Huangjia Orchard, we moved on to Tujia Village for freshly caught red prawns. Since we went at the end of the season, what varieties we could get was entirely up to luck. After eating durian, we used the shells to hold water to drink, so we didn't have to worry about the heatiness. Then we used the shells to wash our hands, rubbing the soft white part inside the shell with our fingers to help the odor dissipate faster.

Nicole was such a wonderful girl 💕! She drove smoothly and kept introducing Penang's unique features, teaching me so much about the local culture!! She treated us to an incredibly delicious Peranakan meal! She also discussed and adjusted the itinerary with us – I loved it! I truly felt the friendliness and hospitality of the Penang Chinese community! Because of you all, I love Penang even more!!

Guide / driver was very friendly and attentive to the details (providing advice, Aircon temperature, etc). Recommended for small groups, and those who like nature.

Reviews: Langkawi 5-in-1 island hopping tour experience (coastal scenery + fun sea fishing + seafood BBQ feast)
Guest User2026-10-17
We had luck to see to see dolphins right away and the eagle feeding was also very interesting (if you have a good camera, you can make some amazing shots because you will never be as close to a wild eagle as here). But this, together with great food (mite than enough food for everyone), were also by far the biggest highlights and the rest of the trip was not as interesting. Guides were ok, but they didn’t tell a lot about the wildlife, islands etc. (a day before we did the mangrove night tour where we learnt much more about the eagles, bats, mangrove etc. - the guide there was very knowledgeable but here on the island hopping they didn’t tell us anything). The fishing was rather boring. The boat just stops near one island and you get string with a bait and wait if any fish bites. You try to catch some small fish, nothing impressive. The snorkeling was mediocre. Refreshing to swim a bit and the water is very warm but the visibility is not great. Too little time for the island with lake.
