Hutt Lagoon is located near Port Gregory, approx. 60 km from Kalbarri, and is one of the area's representative natural views. It is a high-salinity lake, and its striking feature is that the water can appear pink, rose-red, purplish-red, or red, creating a sharp contrast with the surrounding light-colored salt flats, green vegetation, and the coastal view in the distance. The lake's unique color is mainly related to carotenoid pigments produced by microorganisms such as Dunaliella salina. The color of the lake surface is not always consistent; it is affected by factors such as sunlight, cloud cover, season, rainfall, and water salinity. Therefore, when visiting at different times, you may see different views ranging from light pink to vibrant red.Yallabatharra · 76.7km from Geraldton

The archipelago is located 70km west of Geraldton's coastline, but unlike other tourist destinations, the islands are exclusively managed by the fisheries department. The Abrolhos Islands itself is composed of coral reef communities, and due to the existence of large areas of reefs, many historic shipwrecks have occurred here. If you fly on a sightseeing plane, tourists can witness the ruins of shipwrecks in the sea! At the same time, because the reef is shallow and untouched, it is one of the best snorkeling paradises in the world, comparable to the Great Barrier Reef. Due to the action of the Liwen Current, the water temperature is maintained at 20-22 degrees all year round, which is suitable for swimming and snorkeling at any time. Due to its unique geographical environment, the island is rich in animal and plant resources. There are various lizards, especially the animal Wallaby (Wallaby, a special kangaroo species only found on the island), white-bellied sea eagles, sea eagles and more.Houtman Abrolhos · 93.1km from Geraldton

Geraldton is a coastal city in Western Australia. The downtown beach here is also the largest beach here, with beautiful scenery. The color of the sea water is clearly layered, and the visual effect is very good. There are also many tourists here, which is definitely a good place to play in the sea and take pictures.

Dating back to 1862 and built by convicts, the museum is the perfect place to explore Greenough’s fascinating history – from Aboriginal times to the present day. There is plenty to keep children and adults happy. Lush and green all year round, our historic gardens are not only beautiful to look at, but also productive. From the fortunes of convicts to entrepreneurs, the museum’s collections are stories of Greenough’s pioneering past for you to discover.

We arrived at around five in the afternoon. The beach was white and fine, but there was no one there. I was delighted to think that we had the kilometers-long high-quality beach all to ourselves. From afar, I saw two people surfing in the vast Indian Ocean, showing their bravery in the wind and waves. Great!
