Laoshan Mountain Scenic Area
Laoshan Mountain Scenic Area is located in Malipo County, 400 km from Kunming. It consists of 42 attractions across five areas: Laoshan, Nanwenhe, Dawangyan, Xiajinchang, and Xinzhai, covering an area of approx. 180 square kilometers. Laoshan was one of the main battlefields during the self-defense counterattack. Today, the main peak features an exhibition hall and a monument to the martyrs, as well as facilities such as foxholes and observation posts, making it an important base for patriotic education. Tianbao Port is an important border trade port on the China-Vietnam border. Reminder: 1. The weather in Malipo is mild, so long-sleeved clothing is sufficient. 2. After visiting Laoshan, most travelers stop by Tianbao Port on the Vietnam border for some shopping. During the Spring Festival, the old leader of the Times Leader Song and Dance Troupe and his entourage of three went to Laoshan, Yunnan to mourn the children who sacrificed gloriously for the country. The martyrs who died were the cutest people and the Chinese people will never forget them.
