Hunter Region

Hunter Region is located in New South Wales and is one of the birthplaces of the Australian wine industry. As early as the 1820s, the first local vineyards were established along the Hunter River, and the winemaking tradition continues to this day. Today, the valley is home to hundreds of wineries and tasting rooms. Semillon white wine and Shiraz red wine are the two signature offerings here, especially the Semillon, which has a crisp acidity and refreshing citrus aroma when young, and evolves into complex flavors of honey and toast after several years of aging—a layered experience of two distinct flavor profiles in one wine that is not easily found in other regions. When visiting the Hunter Region, a common route centers around the wineries in the Pokolbin area. Family-run boutique wineries, large estates with accompanying restaurants and gardens, and tasting rooms with art galleries are scattered nearby. You can self-drive, cycle, or join a tour to hop from one to another, turning wine tasting into a full day of culinary exploration. Gourmet shops like cheese factories are also open around the wineries. Ordering a cheese platter to pair with local wine and savoring it slowly is a classic way to relax in the region. If you want a change of perspective, taking a hot air balloon ride in the early morning to overlook the vineyards and rolling hills under the rising sun is a renowned signature experience in the Hunter Region. If your budget allows, you can also choose a helicopter tour. For companions with less interest in wine tasting, they can also visit the gardens to explore the themed landscapes.Upper Karuah River · 78.5km from Hunter Region

The Sydney Whale Watching Cruise is a unique local experience where travelers have the opportunity to observe whales up close. From May to November each year, tens of thousands of humpback whales migrate north from Antarctic waters, passing near Sydney: late June to early July marks the peak northbound period, while after September and October, mother whales with their calves can often be seen slowly returning south along the coastline. Popular whale watching itineraries usually depart from darling harbour or circular quay. The cruise is equipped with advanced facilities, allowing you to enjoy the sea journey without missing any whale watching opportunities.Australia · Sydney

The theater isn't very large, so the view from the second floor was excellent, and the actors' performances were very lifelike, with very interesting dialogue. Plus, the theater has a beautiful terrace with floor-to-ceiling windows; I took some lovely photos there in the afternoon!

The young lady at the front desk could have been a little friendlier and greeted me when we came in on Friday 13th September. Nevertheless, I had to come back as I had been here before and was so impressed. You get an audio guide about the prison and the stories are amazing. The prison is old but also has some newer parts where Ivan Milat was imprisoned. It is a creepy place and you make sure you never end up here! Touring the different parts of the prison, old and new, helps to understand the changes in the prison system.

Amazing whale-watching experience in Sydney! 🐋I really enjoyed this experience from start to finish. The scenery and the whole environment were absolutely beautiful, and we were lucky enough to see a lot of whales! It was amazing watching them in their natural environment, and the experience was even better than I expected. Definitely a great activity to do while visiting Sydney, and I would happily recommend it to others!
