Chiang Mai Grand Canyon is an artificial canyon, which is not only a diving spot loved by backpackers, but also a place of adventure for local young people. There are towering cliffs, deep blue lake water, and the water depth is 50 meters deep. Against the background of blue sky and white clouds, it is quite spectacular. In addition to diving and playing to cool off, you can also swim or paddle in a canoe. Tired of playing, you can also taste Thai food at a lakeside restaurant and experience the holiday mode of Thai locals. It is also a good choice.Hang Dong · 26.8km from Mae Wang

Wachirathan Waterfall is a large, classic tiered waterfall that cascades over a towering rock face into a deep pool, full of natural power. The waterfall is quite far from the Old City, so it is not very convenient to travel there on your own. Doi Inthanon National Park is a national nature reserve in Thailand, covering an area of 1,005 square kilometers. Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain in Thailand, is nothing compared to other mountains in the world, but it is an amazing height in Thailand. Surrounded by mountain peaks, there are many hiking trails, waterfalls and two memorial stupas. In addition to tourists who come to Chiang Mai for day trips, it is also very popular with locals in Chiang Mai. The park has beautiful scenery, lush trees, blooming flowers and a cool climate. It is a well-known national park in Thailand, with jungles and various types of plants, elephants and other wild animals. There are many wild animals in the park, and there are scenic elephant camps, orchid cultivation farms, etc., which are good places for outings. Doi Inthanon is rich in species resources, including more than 400 species of birds, and is a famous place for biologists and bird lovers. There are many waterfalls in the mountain, the most famous of which are NamTokMaeKlang, NamTokWachiratan and NamTokSiriphum. NamTokMaeKlang is the larger one and is relatively easy to get to, there are picnic spots nearby (200 baht cost) and there are more tourists. The two pagodas, PhraMahathatNaphamethanidon and Nophamethanidon, were built in 1989 and 1992 to commemorate the 60th birthday of the king and queen respectively. Doi Suthep is located west of downtown Chiang Mai, Thailand. It is a mountain characterized by its forest vegetation and mountainous landscape, and serves as a prominent natural landmark on the west side of the city. The terrain is noticeably undulating, with slopes covered in vast forests. As altitude changes, you can see different types of trees, ferns, mosses, and other mountain plants. Old City is one of the representative cultural districts in Chiang Mai. It is roughly square in shape, surrounded by a moat, and retains parts of the brick city walls and gate ruins. The streets within are crisscrossed, featuring both traditional Lanna-style Buddhist temples and cafes, restaurants, homestays, handicraft shops, and local businesses, presenting a streetscape where traditional culture and modern urban life are intertwined. Representative attractions within the city include Watchediluang Varaviharn, Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan, and Wat Chiang Man. Each features unique pagodas, prayer halls, carvings, and decorative details, making them perfect for walking tours and photography. The district also features public landmarks such as the Three Kings Monument, and some alleys are quiet and full of local life, where you can see the daily activities of local residents.Chiang Mai · 38.6km from Mae Wang

Tha Phae Gate is located on the east side of the Chiang Mai Ancient City in Chiang Mai Province, Thailand, and is one of the iconic city landmarks of Chiang Mai, as well as an important entrance to the ancient city. It is built of red brick and features wide archways. Together with the surrounding remnants of the ancient city wall and the moat, it forms a Lanna-style urban view. The brick walls have a rustic color, and the architectural outline is simple. They complement the surrounding roads, squares, and trees, making it a popular spot for tourists to take photos. The gate seen today is not the original ancient structure preserved in its entirety, but a reconstruction.Chiang Mai · 39.3km from Mae Wang

Genuinely some of the most fun we’ve ever had it was genuinely such an awesome experience the entire place is awesome and there’s cold water spraying everywhere to cool you down under the sun. There’s really good food and alcohol and overall i’d highly recommend everything about the day was a blast and we stayed from open to close. The life jackets aren’t bad and are comfortable considering, there were only like 2 children thankfully so all the adaults had a blast and it was a fun time . Definitely bring sunscreen but highly recommend

🖇🤍✨️Wachiratharn Waterfall🌿🥰️ "Wachiratharn Waterfall" is a large waterfall formed by the Mae Klang Stream, approximately 70-80 meters high, with water flowing all year round. The water will fall from a high cliff, falling into the pool below, causing water droplets to splash all over the area. #Stand and take a picture for a moment_Noi is all wet 😆Standing far away makes you feel cool and refreshed, the air is nice and cool. A mountain that has been part of the city and the sky since I was born. I've visited countless times since I can remember. The last time was during university when I joined the freshman hike up the mountain, walking over 14 kilometers. Was it exhausting? Absolutely. But reaching the top was the most heartwarming feeling, receiving encouragement from seniors, friends, and juniors from all faculties. Since graduating, I’ve gone every year without fail.

Chiang Mai Ancient City, a treasure carrying the history and culture of northern Thailand, attracts travelers from all over the world with its unique charm. Inside the ancient city wall, the Tha Pae Gate stands tall, witnessing the vicissitudes of Chiang Mai for hundreds of years. Strolling on the ancient road paved with bluestone slabs, there are scattered temples and antique buildings on both sides, each exuding a strong historical atmosphere. The literary atmosphere of Nimman Road and the bustling night market of Changkang Road add a perfect blend of modern and traditional to the ancient city. Here, you can taste authentic Thai food and feel the enthusiasm and friendliness of the Thai people. Chiang Mai Ancient City is not only a tourist destination, but also a place where people can relax and cleanse their souls. Whether traveling alone or with family and friends, Chiang Mai Ancient City can bring you an unforgettable travel experience.

After breakfast, I took a taxi to Thapae Gate to take pictures. I took a few pictures by myself first, and then I saw someone who would take pictures for 100 baht and chase away pigeons for me. It was a great place to take pictures. After taking pictures, there are some drink shops nearby. If it is very hot at noon, you can also find a massage place to rest, walk around and take pictures. Be careful to protect yourself from the sun! The sun is still very strong.
