Springbrook National Park

5.1
4.2/5
91 reviews
Springbrook National Park is located in the mountain rainforests of the Gold Coast hinterland. The plateau, shaped by ancient volcanic activity, has been deeply carved by streams into layers of cliffs and canyons, creating a lush, green landscape. Most waterfalls and lookouts are accessible via short trails. The park consists of several areas, with the Springbrook Plateau and Natural Bridge being the most popular. Visitors can enjoy waterfalls and cliffs during the day, and see the starlike glowworms in the caves at night—each offering its own unique experience. Natural Bridge, Springbrook National Park, is the signature attraction here: years of erosion by stream water have hollowed out the mountain, and now the stream pours through a circular hole in the cave ceiling, weaving a curtain of water inside. A natural stone bridge remains where the cave roof collapsed. You can see the waterfall passing through the cave by following the approximately 1 km loop trail. After dark, the cave ceiling lights up with patches of blue-green glow—these are the bioluminescent larvae commonly known as glowworms. They are actually the larvae of a type of fungus gnat, and their cold tail light is used to lure prey. When gathered in large numbers, they look like a starry sky hanging overhead. They glow every night throughout the year, though their light is dimmer during the dry winter and spring seasons and exceptionally bright during the hot, humid, and rainy seasons. On humid summer nights, you might occasionally spot glowing mushrooms along the trail, and sometimes even fireflies. Please turn off flashlights and camera flashes when viewing, as direct bright light will cause the colony to "turn off" instantly. Please stay on the trail, and do not enter the water in the cave area. After walking out of the cave, don't forget to look up; the stars in the mountain night sky are equally moving. The plateau area is home to most of the lookouts and waterfalls: the Canyon Lookout is just a few steps from the road, offering a view of Twin Falls and Rainbow Falls as they tumble over the cliff edge into the deep valley. The ambitiously named Best of All Lookout requires a walk through a forest of ancient Antarctic beech trees that are thousands of years old; on a clear day, you can see Mount Warning in New South Wales in the distance. Purling Brook Falls, with a drop of nearly 100 m, is the park's iconic waterfall. The loop trail allows you to descend to the valley floor, where you can stand on a suspension bridge and look up at the entire water curtain, which is especially spectacular when the water volume is high after rain. The Twin Falls circuit allows you to walk directly behind the waterfall.Springbrook · 13.9km from O'Reilly

Gold Coast beach stretches for approx. 70 km, and its golden sand is a hallmark of this coastline, which is how it got the name Gold Coast. The sand is fine and glows with a warm golden luster in the sunlight, while the water transitions from a shallow turquoise near the shore to a deep blue in the distance, creating distinct layers. The beach features several distinct sections along its length, with a lively atmosphere in the north and a relatively quieter vibe in the south, catering to visitors with different preferences. Surfing is a signature, long-standing experience at this beach. The coastline boasts several famous surf breaks, including the Superbank near Snapper Rocks, which is known for producing long, hollow waves that attract a large number of surfers year-round. Surf lifesavers patrol the beach, and red and yellow flags mark safe swimming areas. A coastal walkway connects the various beach sections, making it a great way to explore by walking or cycling. The beach enjoys abundant sunshine and a mild climate year-round, with different sections catering to various needs.Surfers Paradise · 38.2km from O'Reilly

Remington National Park, located on the west side of Spring Springs National Park (Springbrook National Park), is a precious ecological base and a designated World Heritage Site. Most of the park is located on the 900-meter plateau. There are many scenic walks in the park, and you can see rich animal and plant landscapes and beautiful waterfalls along the way. 1. Walking trails In Remington National Park, there are very good walking trails. It is a hiker's paradise. Along the way, you can see steep canyons, magnificent waterfalls, and lush and dense subtropical rainforests. First of all, you have to walk O'Reilly's Treetop Walk, which is Australia's first treetop walk. It is actually a suspension bridge, about 15 meters above the ground. Because it is built in dense woods, it can be seen from the top. Can't see the ground. Walking on the suspension bridge, you will feel a little dizzy at first, but it will be fine after walking for a while. Walking along this treetop trail to the depths of the rainforest, you will appreciate the rare flowers of Australia and the ancient trees of thousands of years. In addition to feasting your eyes and gaining knowledge, you will even breathe green because you are full of negative ions! In addition, there are many popular walking trails: the GreatWalk trail to Springbrook Plateau, which is 54 kilometers long and takes 3 days to complete. The 21km BorderTrack trail follows the watershed between NSW and Queensland and connects Binna Burra with O'Reilly's Rainforest Lodge. 2. Beautiful scenery Like Springbrook National Park, it is also part of the World Heritage "East Coast Rainforest Reserve". There is a unique subtropical rainforest scenery here. Tourists can walk on the hiking trails known as the very best in Queensland and enjoy the scenery. The surrounding ancient trees, gurgling streams and spectacular waterfalls, listening to all kinds of birds singing in the forest, a variety of native Australian endangered birds live here, fully integrated into the beauty of nature.O'Reilly · 2.4km from downtown

Surfers Paradise Beach is located on the Gold Coast of Australia. It is an important area of the Gold Coast. Known as "Miami of the Southern Hemisphere", it is a huge sandy coast. 1. Overview of attractions One of Australia's most famous beaches, attracting surfers from all over the world. The Gold Coast is close to the Pacific Ocean and has 75 kilometers of beaches. It is a huge sandy coast. The coastline here is straight and wide, the shoreline is very shallow, and the waves are very large, which is very suitable for various water sports such as surfing. Among them, the continuous beach is 42 kilometers long. There is a reef at the corner of the turning cliff. Layers of waves rush over from the reef cliff, surging forward, and the height is 2-3 meters. If the sea is stormy, the waves will roar. The turbulent waves are set off, and its splendid sight is amazing. 2. Leisure sports There are many entertainment facilities on the beach, so tourists will not be bored. The jet boat located in Apple Park is suitable for those who like to experience thrilling sports. The speed boat will depart from Surfers Paradise to WaveBreak Island every day, bringing the experiencer a 360-degree flip experience. The whole journey takes about 55 minutes. 3.7D cinema Have only heard of 3D cinema, but never heard of 7D? The 7D Cinema on Trickett Street is very popular with 10 scenes to choose from. 4. Shopping Tired of blue sky and white clouds, silver beach, you can also enjoy shopping. Not far from the promenade near the beach, shopping malls such as ParadiseCentre, HarbourTownOutletShoppingCenter and PacificFairShoppingCenter are gathered in the business district, which can be reached in a few minutes' walk. 5. Dining The restaurants here serve Australian local food, Indian food, Mexican food, Japanese food and Chinese food, and the rich choices will make you dazzled. If you like Italian food, you can go to Nicolinis Pizzeria, which serves delicious pizza, but remember to book in advance on Friday and weekend nights! The first floor of TheMarkBuilding is a famous nightclub. Come to the dance floor to have fun, and it is open until 5:00 in the morning.Surfers Paradise · 39km from O'Reilly

Cape Danger is a scenic spot in Australia, located on the southern tip of the Gold Coast, on the border between Queensland and New South Wales. When Captain Cook landed on the Australian mainland for the second time, in order to avoid the reef, the captain ordered a sharp turn of nearly 90 degrees to avoid the sinking of the ship, hence the name of Dangerous Point. There are Cook's Monument and Lighthouse on Cape Dangerous, where there are flocks of flying seabirds, sitting on the cliff overlooking the endless coastline and layers of white waves, facing the gentle sea breeze, very comfortable and comfortable.Coolangatta · 41.4km from O'Reilly

One of the most charming places in Tianbaolin Mountain is the art trail, which is a 500-meter-long art trail decorated with quaint and beautiful handmade souvenir shops, cafes and dessert shops. Tianbaolin Mountain is 525 meters above sea level. It is a large mountain on the Gold Coast with lush greenery. The Tianbaolin Mountain National Park between the mountains is a national park in Queensland. Tempolin Mountain is only a 30-minute drive from Surfers Paradise. But the hinterland far from the Jinsha blue sea and the noisy crowd is another world. Compared to the seaside areas of the Gold Coast, the temperature here is a few degrees cooler and the culture is very different.Mount Tamborine · 34.8km from O'Reilly

Recently enjoyed a climb to the summit of Page again, the climb was tough, not that I mean to say that, but this particular hike involved climbing up a rocky, steep stone face and it was windy, but having said that there are many other options in the area to suit climbers of all experience levels.

From this world class lookout it is only a 350m drive to the car park. During the short walk you may also be lucky enough to see some ancient trees which are really special.
