The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is a wonderful place to visit in Richmond. First, admission is FREE. You can find free street parking in the surrounding areas, too. There’s also a lovely restaurant inside that is rather affordable as well as a cafe downstairs. The museum hosts an outdoor sculpture garden, ancient relics, paintings, and so much more. My favorite are the Egyptian sarcophagus and Indian Garden Pavilion.

We spent an hour at the original Children’s Museum, and I was disappointed. Some of the attractions were broken or nonfunctioning
