Sapporo TV Tower

4.6/5
950 reviews
The Sapporo TV Tower, standing approximately 147 meters tall at the eastern end of Odori Park, is a landmark of Sapporo and a popular spot that tourists should definitely visit. From the observation deck, approximately 90 meters above ground, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of Sapporo's cityscape, which changes its appearance with the seasons, and on a clear day you can even see the distant mountains. One of Sapporo's greatest attractions is that you can enjoy different charms throughout the year: fresh greenery in spring, Odori Park bustling with events in summer, colorful autumn leaves, and pristine white snowscapes and fantastical illuminations in winter. Especially at night, the city of Sapporo transforms into a glittering night view, enveloping you in a romantic atmosphere. The museum also has a souvenir shop and a cafe, so searching for Hokkaido-specific goods and limited-edition items is one of the fun parts of visiting. It's easily accessible, conveniently located right near Odori Station, making it a great place to visit even for first-time visitors to Sapporo. Not only is it a popular viewpoint, but it's also a great photo spot. Taking commemorative photos with the seasonal scenery and the TV Tower in the background will make your travel memories even more special. It's a place where you can experience the charm of Sapporo all at once, so be sure to visit.Sapporo · 199m from downtown

4.6/5
195 reviews
Noboribetsuonsencho is famous for its abundant hot spring resources and diverse water qualities. Hot spring inns, hotels, restaurants, and souvenir shops are distributed along the streets, surrounded by mountains and forests, with a distinct geothermal landscape. The hot spring water mainly comes from the Noboribetsu Jigokudani Valley area, with a daily output of approx. 10,000 tons. The water types are rich and varied, including milky white sulfur springs with a sulfurous scent, as well as salt springs, iron springs, and sodium bicarbonate springs, earning it the title of department store of hot springs. The hot spring street features an ogre theme, with statues of red and blue ogres scattered along the street, adding fun to your stroll. Inside the Enma-do Hall, there is a statue of King Enma that periodically performs a show where its facial expression changes, presenting the legendary scene of the judgment of hell. The Jigoku Matsuri held in summer is also quite unique, with King Enma and various ogres parading through the streets, filling the hot spring street with a lively festive atmosphere. In addition to soaking in the hot springs, you can also walk through the forest along the Oyunuma River Natural Footpath to enjoy the stream and surrounding vegetation, and soak your feet in the natural foot bath, feeling the warm spring water slowly flow by. When it snows in winter, the steam rising from the open-air hot springs contrasts with the white snowy scenery, adding a unique mountain charm to this place.Noboribetsu · 65.6km from Sapporo

Spend a sweet afternoon at Sapporo's Shiroi Koibito (White Lover) restaurant. Listen to chocolate stories, play interactive games, watch how chocolate cookies are made, and most interestingly, try your hand at painting a giant cookie! At 5:00 PM, the magical clock tower puppet show and dreamy bubble performance take place in the enchanting fairytale garden. The European-style castle is incredibly romantic under the autumn sunset, creating a truly Halloween atmosphere. We highly recommend taking some photos with the pumpkins!

We arrived at Sapporo TV Tower in the afternoon after exploring several other nearby attractions. It had started raining by the time we reached Odori Park, but fortunately, we found an entrance to the underground shopping mall, which allowed us to walk to the tower without getting wet.Redeeming our pre-purchased ticket voucher at the counter was straightforward. With relatively few visitors around, we managed to board the elevator and make our way up to the observation deck without any hassle. At the top, we were rewarded with a stunning 360-degree panoramic view of Sapporo. We enjoyed admiring the cityscape from above and spent some time taking photographs. The view of Odori Park from this vantage point was particularly impressive, offering a different perspective of the area we had explored earlier. We spent approximately two hours enjoying the views and taking photographs before heading down. Overall, it was a pleasant and relaxing experience.

However, the famous Sapporo TV Tower is right next to the park, attracting numerous tourists from all over the world. The area is packed with people eager to take photos.
