Putra Mosque

Putra Mosque is also known as the "Floating Mosque" because about three-quarters of the building extends over Putrajaya Lake. The exterior is predominantly pink, constructed largely from rose-colored granite, and features nine domes. Construction began in 1997, and it can accommodate over 10,000 worshippers at once, making it one of the most recognizable landmarks in Putrajaya. The mosque consists mainly of three parts: the prayer hall, the courtyard, and the learning and functional spaces. The roof of the prayer hall resembles an open umbrella, composed of 49 domes of varying sizes arranged in a radial pattern, with a design inspired by Islamic architectural traditions. The minaret next to the mosque is tall and slender, with a rocket-shaped spire, and is equipped with elevators and stairs to reach the top. The entire mosque is designed to take full advantage of natural ventilation from the lake, with lake breezes passing through the corridors and vertical grilles to keep the interior cool. Viewed from the opposite shore, the pink domes and their reflection in the lake create a picturesque scene.Putrajaya · 13.9km from Sepang

Putrajaya, the new administrative capital of Malaysia, covers an area of 4,932 hectares and is only 25 kilometers away from Kuala Lumpur. It is the leader of Malaysia's future cities; it is planned to be developed into a "smart garden city" in Malaysia. , will become a city with advanced infrastructure and high-tech convenience in the 21st century. This efficient and modern world does not detract from the essence of Malaysia's traditional heritage, because at least one-third of the area still retains the emerald green scenery of nature, forest gardens, lakes and wetlands, which are Malaysia's precious green treasure heritage. The center of Prince Edward City is a huge square. The pattern, color, style and architecture of the square are harmoniously echoed. The fountain in the center is full of flowers, and the flags representing the thirteen states of Malaysia are flying high around it, which is very distinctive. It shows the characteristics of this young country of Malaysia.Putrajaya · 13.7km from Sepang

The Putrajaya Lake Cruise project is based on the central waters of Malaysia's administrative capital, and the route around the lake connects modern architecture and wetland ecological landscapes. This 650-hectare artificial lake is formed by the confluence of three rivers. The electric cruise departs from the lakeside pier and passes through the "water gallery" formed by nine characteristic bridges. The double-decker sightseeing boat is equipped with a multilingual guide system, and the panoramic skylight design ensures that tourists can enjoy a 360-degree view of the coastal scenery. The steel-structured Putrajaya Bridge can be observed up close in the northern section of the route. Its double arch rib shape forms a geometric echo with the dome of the Prime Minister's Office. When sailing south, the rose granite dome of the Pink Mosque is reflected on the water, forming a symphony of colors with the sea of poinciana trees in the botanical garden on the opposite bank. The ecological cruise line is equipped with underwater observation windows, where freshwater fish living in artificial coral reefs can be viewed. There is a water sports center in the pier area, which provides stand-up rowing around the lake experience.Putrajaya · 13.6km from Sepang

The Pink Mosque in Malaysia 🕌, as its name suggests, is entirely pink. The inner courtyard is very large, and it's said to be a popular place for worshippers. There are several great spots for taking photos and checking in. 📸

Putrajaya's main lake, you can take a boat to enjoy the lake view. It costs 25 ringgits for the whole day, or you can pay according to the dock, which varies from 2 to 4 ringgits per dock. I went there late and didn't experience it. I thought there was a night shift but it didn't. Starting from Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque, stroll along the lakeside past the Millennium Monument and the Vision Bridge, you can see the Pink Mosque.

Visiting the Petronas Towers requires advance booking. You'll queue on the first floor to take the elevator together, but it's not crowded and the experience is quite pleasant. You can reach two floors: first, the area connecting the two towers on the 40+ floor, where staff will leave at a set time; then, take the elevator directly to the 86th floor.
