The old city of Stockholm is located on an island in the center of the city. The area where the Royal Palace is located is an old city with a history of more than 700 years. This is the birthplace of Stockholm. The roads in the old city are narrow. Walking in this ancient street, many magnificent medieval buildings come into view, the majestic palace, the towering church, the flowery street garden, and the thick The coffee is fragrant from the fairy-tale house, and you can fully experience the blend of history and modernity. Because Sweden has not suffered a war for more than 200 years, the old town has well preserved its medieval style. From the mid-19th century to the mid-20th century, the old town was regarded as a slum, with many historic buildings in disrepair; after World War II, the houses in 5 alleys were demolished to expand the parliament building. Since the 1980s, the old town has attracted a large number of tourists due to its medieval and renaissance architecture, and the value of its buildings has been recognized. In addition to its numerous historical sites, the old town is also home to many artisan shops, boutiques, restaurants and cafés. Dating back to the 13th century, the old town has medieval alleys, cobblestone streets and ancient buildings, heavily influenced by the North Germanic style. Since Sweden hasn't had a war in 200 years, the old town is so well-preserved that it's well worth taking the time to wander, especially on the river and sea-facing streets. The main attractions of the Old Town are the Royal Palace, Stockholm Cathedral, the Nobel Museum and the Church of the Knights.Stockholm · 23.4km from Vallentuna

The beautiful King's Garden was once the exclusive land of the royal family, the exclusive farmland and courtyard of the princes and nobles, so the humble commoners were not allowed to enter. But in 1953, 700 years after the city of Stockholm was founded, the government decided to renovate the garden and open it to the public. There are many petty bourgeoisie cafes and open-air stages in the garden, and occasionally there are free rock, jazz and classical concerts. In winter, this is a very popular citizen skating rink, and many parents will take their children here to play and get angry.Stockholm · 22.8km from Vallentuna

It should be considered a smaller sculpture, only about 20 cm high. Many citizens and tourists will tie scarves and small hats on him in winter, and put candies and coins from all over the world next to him. In 1954, Swedish sculptor Liss Eriksson created this little boy. Every day he sits in the alley of Gamla Stan in the old town, waiting for the moon to appear.Stockholm · 23.4km from Vallentuna

Segel Square is located in front of the Central Station. It is the most lively cultural square in Stockholm, adjacent to the Cultural Center and the Municipal Theater. It is named after the famous 18th century sculptor John Tobias Segel. Segel Square is oval in shape, and the central area is a large fountain built by architect Edbin Estrom. A glass column about 37 meters high towers in it. At night, the glass column lights up and flashes. With a charming brilliance, people affectionately call it a crystal column. The west side of the square is paved with black and white bricks, which is often called "flat", and there are broad steps next to the flat. People like to sit on the steps, eat lunch, chat, and spend a leisurely time. Further west is the bustling commercial street in Stockholm, where you can buy a lot of Nordic fashion.Stockholm · 22.6km from Vallentuna

Fjord Street is located halfway up a hill in downtown Stockholm, built on a cliff by the Baltic Sea. There are many 17th-century buildings here, as well as shops and bars. There is a viewing platform on Fjord Street, where you can see part of the Baltic Sea and part of the city of Stockholm. It is a very good viewing point and photo spot. The viewing platform has a very wide field of vision. Standing on the fjord street and looking at the whole vista, you can have an unobstructed view of the great landscape of Stockholm. During the mighty years of Sweden in the 17th century, it was the place where powerful knights and nobles lived. The buildings on the island are quaint, colorful and full of medieval flavor. There is a square on the island called Birger Jarl Torg, which is the center of the island. Important buildings on the island are all around this square. The square is named after the founder of Stockholm, Birger Jarl. In the center of the square is the statue of Berggill. The tall Knights Island Church (Riddarholmskyrkan) is the most prominent building on Knights Island. The black cast-iron spires on the Gothic red-brick main building soar into the sky. Gamla Stan, Stockholm’s Old Town, is a charming maze of cobblestone streets, colorful 17th- and 18th-century buildings, and hidden courtyards. Founded in the 13th century, it’s one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval centers. The area brims with history, from the grand Royal Palace to Storkyrkan Cathedral and the Nobel Prize Museum. Cozy cafés, artisan shops, and atmospheric alleyways make wandering here a delight. In winter, festive markets fill the main square, Stortorget, with lights and warmth. Whether you’re after culture, architecture, or a leisurely stroll, Gamla Stan offers a magical glimpse into Sweden’s past while buzzing with modern Scandinavian charm.

In the King's office in Stockholm, you must find the Moonlight Boy and touch his head, which means good luck. Is there such a child living in your heart who waits for the moon to appear every day?

On the Riddarholmen Island, there is a Riddarholmen Church, which is the place where the Swedish royal family is buried. Today, the coffins of many Swedish kings are placed inside, and tourists can also see them during the tour. This building is a relatively old building in Sweden and is particularly protected.
