Things to do in Wayasewa

Not bad, it's worth going, I like it and will go again next time.

This is the largest Hindu temple in the Southern Hemisphere. You pay an entrance fee of about 500 yen, take off your shoes and enter barefoot. It's a good idea to bring some wet tissues to wipe your feet afterwards. Photography is prohibited inside, but is OK on the exterior. It's small, so you can walk around in about 5 minutes. There is a town and market nearby, so it's worth visiting when you're there.

Although the Fiji Museum is small and a bit run down, it has a rich collection of exhibits and a detailed introduction to Fijian culture. I really hope it can continue to operate and everyone should support it! We only had an hour to visit the various exhibits, but I highly recommend it, it is very educational. There is a full-sized outrigger canoe for ocean sailing, which was the highlight of our visit.

The Tujia customs and Fijian dance are the most worth watching. There are many artworks full of European culture. The sun is shining and the sea is crystal clear.

Playing in the stream in summer is so relaxing! The banks are lined with tall trees, providing cool shade and preventing the sun from getting too intense. The water is shallow, just ankle-deep, and the bottom is covered with round pebbles that are gentle on your feet and even give them a massage. Locals set up mobile stalls along the banks, selling freshly cut watermelons for ten yuan each. The sweet watermelons, chilled in the stream, are perfect for sitting on rocks, enjoying a watermelon while watching kids splash around – so much more comfortable than being crammed into a water park.
