Second time staying in a Sotetsu Feeesa Inn hotel and it did not disappoint! Location was just 5 mins walk from the train station. Staff was very nice and friendly. Amenities were self service and was great! 100% recommended to anyone visiting Japan.
Hotel Sunplaza Tsugaike

It is very close to Tsugaike Ski Resort. The food is average, but the price/performance ratio is very good. There are hot springs, breakfast and dinner are provided, and discounts are provided for purchasing ski passes and renting ski equipment.
Alpico Plaza Hotel

My return visit to the hotel as it was a very convenient place for short stay before venturing to the alpine hiking trails. This time, I managed to enjoy the natural Onsen at another hotel, which was free. It included free transport transferr and towel.
In Hirugami-No-Mori
4.6/59 Reviews
I would like to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent service provided by one of your hotel staff members, Ito-san. During my stay in Hirugami No-Mori, Ito-San went above and beyond to ensure that our experience at your onsen/hotel was a memorable one. Despite the language barrier, Ito-san's attentive nature and willingness to go above and beyond to assist me in navigating the area made a significant difference in my stay. Her use of Google Translate to communicate with us was impressive and demonstrated her dedication to providing top-notch service. I was thoroughly impressed with her professionalism, positive attitude, and exceptional customer service skills, which were evident in every interaction I had with her. Her talent is remarkable, and I hope that your hotel will continue to support and develop her professionally. Please convey my heartfelt appreciation to Ito-san, and please recognize her outstanding work. She is a true asset to your onsen/hotel, and I look forward to visiting again in the future. Thank you for providing me with a memorable experience, and I wish you and your team continued success.
Zenkoji Temple Yakuoin
4.2/59 Reviews
The hotel is very close to Zenkoji Temple on foot. It is a very special experience to attend the morning class at 6:30 in the morning. Transportation: Across the road from Nagano Station, the buses to the city are all at the station entrance (both 1 and 7 are OK for Zenkoji. I took 1 bus which is closer. I bought the ticket before getting off). After getting off the bus, you can walk to the hotel in a few minutes. Hotel service: There was a Japanese waiter on the night we went there, but it was difficult to find someone if something happened. Hotel food: We booked a one-night stay and two meals. Although they were all vegetarian, they tasted surprisingly good. In addition, I ordered grape juice for my daughter, which tasted special in beige. Hotel facilities: You can't ask for too much from the facilities of the shukubo. Try not to bring luggage. We stayed in a Japanese-style room on the third floor. If you bring luggage, it will be very difficult to carry it up the stairs by yourself. Plug: There is no USB, please bring enough two plugs; Toilet: Only on the first floor, no room, you need to run down every time if you live upstairs; Washing: Only in the bathroom on the first floor and near the men's bath, it is relatively simple, and there are no face wash and skin care products. Although the room has air conditioning and a gas stove, the overall temperature is not high and it is a bit cold, but surprisingly, the tatami is very warm. I looked at it and it turned out to be Nishikawa's down quilt. The hotel basically has a curfew at 9 pm. Temple sightseeing: Buy a 1200 pass for Zenkoji Temple at the hotel. Volunteers will lead you to the temple for morning classes at 6:30 in the morning. As an experience, it is very good, but remind you to dress warmly. The time for listening to the chanting is a bit long. My feet are sore from the cold. The volunteers finish at about 8:30. After returning to the hotel for breakfast, you can go to Zenkoji Temple to buy amulets and worship on your own. There are many souvenirs and food, as well as Starbucks on the street directly opposite the main temple. If you are not very tired, you can walk back to Nagano. We encountered heavy snow when we returned to the temple after breakfast. It felt very good. I wish you all a happy trip.
Hotel Route-Inn Komagane Inter

I tried to book in my husband and wife and sister, 2 rooms, but my sister's portion did not work well and I was in trouble. At that time, the staff responded politely and was very helpful. This was the fourth time I stayed with my husband and wife, and although the mountain climbing was dependent on the season and weather, the hotel was able to stay with peace of mind. Thank you!
HOTEL LiVEMAX PREMIUM Nagano-Ekimae
4.3/5311 Reviews
We chose this hotel by location first of all, because we arrived around midnight at Nagano station. The hotel is very close to it. There was convenient check-in and check-out automatic system. The facilities of the room were great - private bathroom and a toilet, and also pajamas. The room is very small, but it is totally sufficient for a trip.
Hotel JAL City Nagano

Hotel is quite a walk from train station, but there’s many nice cafes and restaurants nearby. The room is spacious and decent. Hotel staff is very helpful, we transferred our luggages over to Osaka as we are heading for Tateyama nice walls. Received them with ease, and hotel staff is very kind to help us complete the form in Japanese language.
Yutorelo Karuizawa Hotel

Although it is far from the station, it is very convenient to have someone to pick it up by car. In the morning, you will be booked with you to determine the time to go. The only inconvenience is that there is no supper in my order. There are no convenience stores around. Other play facilities and hot spring bath facilities are ok The prices are also very clean. I also arranged a large room for me alone I ate breakfast at the hotel in the morning and loved waking up in the forest early in the morning. Reservations must be made in advance (Japanese and English) Waiting for pick-up at the general parking lot at Nakaruizawa Station, there will be signs on the car

Owner is a bit Eccentric and cares more about his daytime dramas. Also has a Dalmatian which he keeps chained in the corner of the living room. Dog is always barking and can be quite a nuisance at times. Also i think the dog urinated as the owner keeps him chained inside all the time. So if you don’t mind the heavy smell of a dog and a unfriendly owner, then look elsewhere. Positives are the onsen is very hot and good. Food is above average and the time they take to make it shows in the details. The rooms are Japanese style and basic. No outlet plugs for charging devices. I would not stay here again.
