Highlights: Dongduyuan Scenic Spot is the starting point of Jianzhen's sixth successful eastward journey to Japan. The entire scenic area is divided into two areas, east and west. The east area is the temple and leisure area, and the west area is the Jianzhen Memorial Hall area. The whole garden highlights the waterscape, reflecting the idyllic scenery of the Jiangnan water town. The main building in the garden is the "Jianzhen Dongdu Memorial Hall". A bronze statue of Master Jianzhen is placed in the hall, 2.06 meters high and 380 kilograms in weight. There are 7 murals in the hall, recording the difficult journey of Master Jianzhen's sixth successful eastward journey to Japan, a brief introduction to Jianzhen's life and the route of the eastward journey. On the back wall of the main hall are 6 wood-cut book screens, which are excerpts from "The Legend of the Eastern Expedition", totaling 1,342 characters, recording Jianzhen's sixth trip to Japan. On both sides of the main hall, there are stone tools, pottery, braised clay and other objects unearthed from the Neolithic site of Luyuan Xujiawan and Xuzhuang, as well as some materials, books, photos and souvenirs presented by Japanese friends.
