This restaurant is highly recommended by my Vietnamese friends in Beijing. They say it's a taste of home, and the atmosphere and flavors have attracted many repeat customers. This time, I wanted to give it a try.
The restaurant's ambiance is very Vietnamese, with many cleverly designed decorative elements. The sofa booths are very comfortable. The simple and clean dining environment, along with the friendly service of the waiters, is a great experience.
The Wagyu Locomotive: This is the restaurant's star dish. Not only do you get free refills of noodles and soup, but you can also add your favorite sauces for free. The M5 Wagyu beef eye is poured directly into the broth that's been simmered for 20 hours. The beef changes color instantly, and the aroma fills the air. This is the original flavor, so authentic and genuine. Of course, there are also beef tripe, beef brisket, and beef balls. The ingredients are quite rich, and the pho is very refreshing. This bowl is amazing. Vietnamese Grilled Pork Neck with Fried Spring Rolls and Lemon: This was my first time trying this dish, and the waiter enthusiastically explained how to enjoy it: the roasted, charred pork neck is paired with a secret sauce. You can pour the sweet and sour fish sauce directly into the bowl or eat it with the spring rolls. With one bite, I felt like I was actually eating in Vietnam; it had that "flavor" all over it.
Lemon-Grilled Chicken:
The chicken was incredibly tender, and paired with the special sauce, it had a rich, rich texture, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I feel like Vietnamese cuisine often pairs each dish with a sauce, allowing you to enjoy the different textures of each ingredient.
Mango Sticky Rice: The mango was incredibly fresh, and the sticky rice was incredibly fragrant and sticky. If you love that sticky, chewy texture, this is a must-try.
Recommended Drink: Lemongrass Mint Honey with honey is a refreshing and sweet drink for a heat-reducing effect. Coconut Iced Coffee is excellent and refreshing. Restaurant Name: Yuexian.pho (Sanlitun Yingke Center Branch)
