Belgrade Fortress, overlooking the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, is one of Serbia’s most iconic landmarks. With origins dating back to the Roman era, it has witnessed centuries of battles and cultural changes. The fortress offers impressive stone walls, historic gates, and military architecture, along with beautiful walking paths in Kalemegdan Park. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the rivers and city skyline, especially at sunset. The site also features small museums, monuments, and outdoor exhibitions, making it both a historical and recreational space. Belgrade Fortress is a must-visit for history lovers and those seeking scenic, peaceful surroundings.
The Belgrade Fortress (Belgrade Fortress) is the core historical landmark of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in the strategic highland at the intersection of the Sava and Danube rivers, known as the "key of the Balkans". Its history dates back to the early fortifications built by the Celtic in the 3rd century BC, and was later rebuilt and competed for many times by Rome, Byzantine, Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian Empire, and was listed as a special protected cultural relics of Serbian state level in 1979. As a strategic fortress in Europe, the fortress of Belgrade witnessed more than 2000 years of conflict and integration: from the Roman Legion garrison, Ottoman siege, to the fire of modern world wars, the masonry structure of its city walls clearly presents the architectural technology of different periods. Known as "open-air history textbook". The Sava River and Danube River interchange have a wide view and are the best place to take a panoramic view of the city; the classic seat is next to the Victors Memorial. It is recommended to go in the evening and enjoy the sunset on the riverside.

The street is beautiful and suitable for walking. How can you go to Belgrade without a stroll? It is very lively and people are still busy until after midnight so it feels very safe whenever you come. The restaurant is open late and the cafe is open early so you can always find a place to sit and hang out. If you are in Belgrade, this is definitely a must! A beautiful trail lined with ancient buildings, shops, restaurants and cafes. It's bustling, the locals are enjoying life, and they're dressed properly. It's so vibrant and vibrant!
【Knez Mihailova Street】 Knez Mihailova Street Knez Mihailova Street is connected to the Karamegdan Castle at one end and the Republic Square (Trg Republika) at the other end. It is the most central commercial street in Belgrade, just like the Champs Elysees in Paris. If you choose to stay, staying near here is the best choice. There are some alternative street performers during the day, and the surrounding bars will be very lively after the shops close at night. The street consists of a large number of buildings from the reign of the Obrenovic and Karajolyević dynasties. The street is about 700 meters long and connects Kalemegdan to other parts of the city. The performances of street singers add to the overall atmosphere of the walk. There are many cafes and restaurants on this street, serving traditional Serbian food. The crowd is densest in the evening.
