The second self-driving tour in Xinjiang, which lasted nearly a month, started in June 2024. At the end of the trip, we came to Bosten Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Xinjiang. The highway in the center of the lake is also a beautiful scenery. The surrounding scenic spots are generally developed. But it has a more primitive flavor. The reeds and water lilies in Bohu Lake are unique. The new highway around the lake is convenient for sightseeing.

Bosten Lake is so beautiful! It is a mountain sunken lake, and its main water source is the Kaidu River, which is also the source of the Kongque River. The lake body of Bosten Lake can be divided into two parts: the large lake area and the small lake area. The area of ​​the large lake is nearly 1,000 square kilometers, and the area of ​​the small lake is only more than 100 square kilometers.

【Bosten Lake】 means &quot;oasis&quot; in Uyghur. It is located in Bohu County, southeast of Yanqi Basin, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China. It is the largest inland freshwater lake in China.
In May 2002, Bosten Lake was approved by the State Council as the 151st National Key Scenic Spot; in May 2014, the National Tourism Scenic Spot Quality Rating Committee rated Bosten Lake Scenic Spot as a national 5A-level tourist scenic spot. The scenic area along the Bosten Lake can be divided into four scenic spots, namely Golden Beach and Silver Beach, Dahekou and Luoxia Bay, Ahongkou and Lotus Lake, Pumping Station and Bailuzhou.
